Building Performance Insights
As September ended and October started, I tested positive for COVID-19. Like many others, I experienced a little of what this disease can throw at you. Being double vaccinated, my symptoms were relatively mild. But it was still very unpleasant, draining all my energy and putting me out of action for nearly two weeks.
Fortunately, recognising the symptoms early enough, I didn’t infect my family or work colleagues. Post isolation, I’m still tired and lacking energy.
This experience demonstrated to me both the seriousness of COVID-19 and the fact that it’s here to stay. We must learn to live with it, manage it, and look beyond it.
Here at LCMB, we are currently planning how to help our customers with the challenges to be faced in 2022. Challenges include continuing to create COVID-19 secure workplaces; increased pressure on improving the health, wellbeing and performance of your employees; and further budget strains with the urgent need to reduce carbon emissions.
In our October webinar, we will be discussing trends that will impact your workplaces, buildings and estates in 2022. Find out who our esteemed panel includes in the article below and join us at 11am on Thursday 28th October to learn more.
We are also working hard behind the scenes on our new service, Thrive, which will be launched over the coming months and aims to help supercharge your performance in 2022. We’ll share more details soon.
Please stay safe and avoid COVID-19! Do get in touch for more details on anything mentioned above and if you would like any help to make your workplaces Thrive in 2022.
Best regards
John
Megatrends predictions for the new year ahead
After the tumultuous last 19 months or so, the pandemic has made life quite different.
Impacting on many aspects of living and working, at least now we can manage a more ‘normal’ way of life. But we still need to continue to be careful when out socialising and shopping.
It’s the same in the workplace. Many people still feel mentally fragile. Wellbeing is high on the agenda, putting pressure on businesses. And our buildings must continue to follow safe practice for some time to come. All this negatively impacts the talent pool, too.
These all combine to create several megatrends destined for 2022 that business owners and employers, directors of estates and others will need to be aware of and prepare for. But it’s not all doom and gloom! There is a bright future ahead. Read our predictions here and join our webinar on dealing with it all here – more on that below.

LCMB's accelerated ROI audit
Too many organisations spend large sums of money on the wrong initiatives that generate a poor return or even a loss.
This is why we created the LCMB accelerated ROI audit. It cuts through the noise and quickly, clearly identifies the untapped performance improvement areas within your buildings.
The audit uncovers operational inefficiencies such as under-utilised space and facilities, as well as cost and energy reduction opportunities, and then provides a clear plan for realising potential.
By implementing the plan, we guarantee the audit pays for itself within 6 months and thereafter generates a positive return.
Contact John O’Brien on 01295 576 000 [email protected] to discuss how the LCMB accelerated ROI audit can improve your organisation performance and return on investment.
