Your carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions your business generates — mostly in the form of carbon dioxide (CO₂) from activities like using electricity, driving, or heating your premises. Carbon emissions are grouped into three categories to help organisations measure and manage their impact:
Scope 1: Direct emissions from sources you own or control – like company vehicles
Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased energy – such as electricity
Scope 3: All other indirect emissions – from supply chains, and outsourced services. These are often the largest but hardest to track.
We’ve completed our 2023 – 2024 carbon footprint assessment for Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and our results are in:
📈 Total emissions: 3,299 kgCO₂e (3.29 tonnes)
🔌 51% from electricity use at our premises
🚗 49% from business travel (petrol and diesel)
For context, the average UK SME generates around 15 tonnes of CO₂e per year, depending on sector (Carbon Trust). So, we’re proud to say our operational footprint is significantly lower, and we’re committed to reducing it even further.
