Building Performance Insights

Coronavirus restrictions are set to end in England on 19th July.  This will be the most comprehensive lifting of restrictions anywhere in the world. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are easing restrictions more gradually.

With the Goverment no longer mandating social distancing, working from home and other rules, consensus suggests there will be an increase in Covid -19 rates from the more transmissible variants in circulation.  Even for those with two vaccine doses. So if you’re responsible for managing workplaces, buildings and estates, you’ll need to re-examine the measures in place to protect your people and buildings.

Current HSE and Goverment guidance will be updated on 19th July or soon after. Our advice is take the following steps while gradually ramping up the reoccupation of your workplaces.

  • Risk assessment – update your risk assessment process for your people and your workplaces. Consider your vulnerable workers and put controls in place to reduce their risk.
  • Social distancing – continue to encourage social distancing and the use of masks, wherever possible.
  • Cleaning, hygiene, and handwashing – continue strict hygiene methods to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
  • Ventilation and air conditioning – continue with the additional measures you have in place; do not consider returning to normal operational regimes until transmission rates reduce to very low levels.

For further insight and guidance, join us and our guest panel of experts at our next webinar, “Managing a Safe and Productive Return to Your Workplace”, on Thursday 22 July at 11am. See below for more information or click here to register.

LCMB's accelerated ROI audit

Too many organisations spend large sums of money on the wrong initiatives that generate a poor return or even a loss.

This is why we created the LCMB accelerated ROI audit. It cuts through the noise and quickly, clearly identifies the untapped performance improvement areas within your buildings.

The audit uncovers operational inefficiencies such as under-utilised space and facilities, as well as cost and energy reduction opportunities, and then provides a clear plan for realising potential.

By implementing the plan, we guarantee the audit pays for itself within 6 months and thereafter generates a positive return.

Contact John O’Brien on 01295 576 000  [email protected] to discuss how the LCMB accelerated ROI audit can improve your organisation performance and return on investment.
