Building Performance Insights

April has been a busy month already. On April 12th, the UK took its biggest steps in loosening lockdown restrictions since 2020. At last, we can now all enjoy a meal or a drink in the fresh air with family and friends. The UK vaccination programme continues at pace with its impressive rollout. At the time of writing, over 30 million people have had their first jab and over 10 million people a second dose. Thankfully, despite restrictions easing, pandemic statistics are moving in the right direction with a reduction in infections, hospitalisations and deaths.

With society and the economy opening up and restrictions reducing, now is the time to finalise plans on Building Back Better. The transition to our new post pandemic world needs to be done safely, quickly and effectively. We have a once in a generation opportunity to reinvent how we do things. By building on the lessons learnt from the pandemic as we return to work, we can look forward to a brighter, better future.

If you need help to plan a safe return to work by reimagining your workplace and property strategy, why not book one of our free COVID-19 Secure Solutions consultations. There are further details of ways in which LCMB can help below too.

April also saw Boris Johnson announce that radical new climate change commitments will set the UK on course for a 78% reduction in carbon emissions by 2035. The Prime Minister’s commitments, which will become law, bring forward the current target for reducing carbon emissions by 15 years. A world-leading position, this forces us all to reimagine and reconfigure how we do things in our businesses and private lives. The changes to law and policy in the UK will impact all organisations in the UK.

To that end, don’t miss our May Webinar “How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint of Your Organisation” on Thursday 27th May at 11am where we’ll be joined by a panel of private and public sector experts. We’ll be discussing what the new UK Government climate change commitments mean for organisations and how you can prepare for, get ahead of and benefit from carbon emission reduction in your organisation. Do get in touch today if you have any specific queries for your organisation. We’re here to help in any way we can.

Building Back Better

Do you know exactly how many of your employees are returning to work full- or part-time? Have you worked out how much space you have available if everyone were to return? Are you embracing the new hybrid way of working?

As we prepare for the transition to our post pandemic world, we must invest in our roadmap through and out of COVID-19, both in terms of time and money. During that process, you could reduce your property size because of having fewer people in your workplace at any one time. This, in turn, could create money-saving opportunities as your organisation transitions into a safer, more sustainable workplace.

Case Studies

LCMB's accelerated ROI audit

Too many organisations spend large sums of money on the wrong initiatives that generate a poor return or even a loss.

This is why we created the LCMB accelerated ROI audit. It cuts through the noise and quickly, clearly identifies the untapped performance improvement areas within your buildings.

The audit uncovers operational inefficiencies such as under-utilised space and facilities, as well as cost and energy reduction opportunities, and then provides a clear plan for realising potential.

By implementing the plan, we guarantee the audit pays for itself within 6 months and thereafter generates a positive return.

Contact John O’Brien on 01295 576 000  [email protected] to discuss how the LCMB accelerated ROI audit can improve your organisation performance and return on investment.
