These last few weeks we’ve been horrified by the fire at Grenfell Tower. As building performance professionals it is all too tempting to share and expand on the painful lessons this disaster is teaching us. But instead, we simply want to convey our heartfelt sorrow and compassion to all those affected at any level by this tragic event.

How Tata Technologies moved into world class headquarters with services to suit

Tata Technologies is a global automotive and aerospace engineering consultancy.

In 2016, Tata commenced construction of a brand new £20m European Technology Headquarters for 600 staff. LCMB were asked to review and define Tata’s approach to delivering essential FM services, creating the commercial solution and project managing the procurement of all maintenance and facilities services.

Improved FM services helps Oxford University Hospitals deliver better patient experience - while avoiding additional costs

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) is a world-renowned centre of clinical excellence and one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK.

A strategy was developed for more effective and productive procurement and delivery of capital works projects and better defined responsibilities within these processes. Implementing the recommendations of the review helped OUH to avoid over £1m in additional costs annually.

Better information and understanding helps futureproof the game of golf

LCMB have developed an online mapping tool for customers to visualise easily where their facilities are located, what they have to offer and how they could best relate to the local marketplace.

This tool utilises statistical analyses to calculate “most likely behaviour” and shows graphically where and how customers are likely to engage with the facilities.

England Golf are using this tool to great effect and it has helped them to be more customer focussed, resilient and future proof.
