Many of you will know that when I’m not working, I like to stay active. I play squash, referee rugby and generally move about, without going to extremes as a rule.
This May Day bank holiday weekend was quite a bit different though! I joined in with a charity walk along the South Downs way, as did my 10 year old daughter Alice and my dog – Sabie.
In the process I was (and still am) raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. In the last year I have lost a very dear friend to cancer and the support she got was immense, it is nice to be able to
put a bit back.
The walk itself was tough, and I mean TOUGH. The entire route is on rocky paths, which is hell on feet, and there are very few sections where you are not on an incline of some description. That said, the views are spectacular!
Below are a few photos from the trip, and if you feel able to contribute to the charity, the details are here:
My thanks to everyone who walked along, I look forward to catching up when I’ve got my breath back!
